How to get hex value of a colour for use on internet...
1) Find out the RGB Value of Colour you want to use.
a) In Word or other applications once you have selected your colour, click back on the colour and choose More Colours. Choose the Custom tab and if you see your colour at the bottom (or choose any other colour you want), then you should see a Colour Model option, make sure it is RGB (not HSL), and once that is selected, you should see the values of your RGB.
b) If the colour you required was from another internet website, make a picture of the screen (PrtScrn Button on keyboard) and copy picture into Paint. Once you are in Paint, use the Colour picker tool to choose the colour you want. Then click on Edit colours. Make sure you see your colour in the block that says Colour/Solid. To the right of it you should see the RGB of it.
2) Go to a site such as http://easycalculation.com/rgb-coder.php and enter the RGB numbers there. You should then get the hex value from it. This particular website also shows you the final colour. An alternative website is http://www.javascripter.net/faq/rgbtohex.htm (however colour is not shown).
